The club has one qualified sports coach for the juniors and two unqualified helpers/coaches. The aim of the club is to develop young talent in Greenwich who have a keen interest in Hockey. The training sessions are meant to build on basic hockey skills progressing to more advanced skills required to play in a league. In due course matches will be arranged against local youth teams, followed by regional games. The club is affiliated to the Bexleyheath & Belvedere Hockey Club.

Black Arrows Badminton Club was formed in 1984 and after many years of successful competitions and a tremendous history of achievement, club founder, Henry Gaspard now places a large emphasis on coaching and providing the young people of Hackney and the surrounding boroughs, an opportunity to participate in the sport of Badminton. Shooters Hill Lawn Tennis Club (SHLTC) is a members club providing social and competitive tennis for all levels and abilities. The club has four floodlit macadam courts available throughout the year. The club is a key asset to the local community and offers a friendly and professional service to members and non-members. The club was formed in 1927 and was initially part of the Shooters Hill Golf Club before becoming independent in 1967 when it signed an agreement to lease the land. The club became a limited company in 2006, negotiating a 25 year lease enabling the club to develop. A community grant from the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) funded the installation of four floodlights on two courts, and 2010 saw the other courts have the floodlights updated.

Lansbury is an old established boxing club which was revitalized nearly 2 years ago. Since our re-launch our boxers have had 75 competitions between them with most of the decisions going in favor Lansbury. The gym has 5 qualified coaches at present and 22 carded boxers. Our member numbers exceed 95 ranging from ages 9 – 62 years. Recently, last March two trainers and 8 boxers traveled to Denmark to compete in the box cup. We came away with 3 gold and 4 silver medals. Lansbury have had 2 finalists in the Haringey championships this year both gaining a silver medal. One of the club’s juniors is entering the junior novices this month and 3 seniors are taking part in the UK elite championships in November. Lansbury is a strong boxing club with a bright future as it continues to build on its successes.
